Stop lamps(break lights) must work in conjunction
with either the front or the rear brake. Also it can be used with
both breaks together. On bikes first used on or after 1 April
1986, the break lamps must function by the application of each
system.
Wheel Alignment
If the wheel alignment considered excessively
wrong then a road test may be conducted at the testers discretion.
This is to assess the effect on the handling of the combination.
A tester may ride with the owner and make an decision about the
wheel.
Rear Reflectors
Motorbikes require one unobscured red reflector.
This must be aligned to the vehicles longitudinal centre line.
If a side car is attached this will also require a reflector fitted
towards the nearside and positioned to reflect squarely to the
rear.
